About the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary (2021, Dark Blue, LR) #2 MagicBand
The Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary (2021, Dark Blue, LR) #2 MagicBand is a Limited Release band released December 14, 2021. The band itself is dark blue (light navy).
Disney produced 2,000 of these, making it a mid-sized limited edition: number 88 of the 262 numbered MagicBands in our catalog, and produced in smaller quantities than 67% of them.
It originally retailed at $500.00, noticeably above the $34.99 median across every MagicBand we track.
2021 was a busy year for MagicBand releases, with 236 bands recorded in our catalog, the highest of any year to date.
Limited Release MagicBands are not numbered, but they are produced in restricted quantities and retired once stock is gone, which is why they often outperform open editions on the resale market.
This is a MagicBand 2, the second generation introduced in 2017, which uses a removable puck that can be swapped between band sleeves.
At release it was sold through ShopDisney.
