About the runDisney (2022, Black) MagicBand
The runDisney (2022, Black) MagicBand is a Limited Edition band released November 3, 2022. The band itself is black.
Disney produced 1,600 of these, making it a genuinely scarce band: number 78 of the 262 numbered MagicBands in our catalog, and produced in smaller quantities than 70% of them.
It originally retailed at $39.99, in line with the $34.99 median across every MagicBand we track.
2022 was a busy year for MagicBand releases, with 220 bands recorded in our catalog.
Limited Edition MagicBands are produced in a fixed, published quantity and are never reissued, so supply only ever shrinks as bands are worn, lost or kept sealed by collectors.
This is a MagicBand 2, the second generation introduced in 2017, which uses a removable puck that can be swapped between band sleeves.
At release it was sold through Walt Disney World.
