About the The Child (2020, Purple) MagicBand
The The Child (2020, Purple) MagicBand is a Limited Edition band released August 21, 2020. The band itself is purple.
Disney produced 4,000 of these, making it one of the larger limited editions: number 224 of the 262 numbered MagicBands in our catalog, and produced in smaller quantities than 15% of them.
It originally retailed at $34.99, in line with the $34.99 median across every MagicBand we track.
2020 was a steady year for MagicBand releases, with 139 bands recorded in our catalog.
Limited Edition MagicBands are produced in a fixed, published quantity and are never reissued, so supply only ever shrinks as bands are worn, lost or kept sealed by collectors.
This is a MagicBand 2, the second generation introduced in 2017, which uses a removable puck that can be swapped between band sleeves.
